Illinois Senate President John Cullerton introduces Consul General Aidan Cronin to the Illinois Senate during Capitol proceedings on Tuesday.

The Consul General visited Springfield on 7 February meeting with Speaker of the House Michael Madigan, Senate President John Cullerton and Illinois Treasurer, Dan Rutherford. The Consul General also addressed both Houses and spoke about Irish contributions to American and Illinois history, the role the United States has had in Ireland and the friendly relations between the two countries.
