Foreign Birth’s Registration (FBR) applications- New 'Náisiún'
Any person born abroad to a parent who, although not born in
Ireland, was otherwise an Irish citizen at the time of the person’s
birth, can become an Irish citizen by applying for Foreign Births
Registration. The new online application system is known as

The fee for the processing of the Foreign Births Registration
Certificate is €270 (AR $2930) for an adult or €145 (AR
$1570) for under-18s. The cost of acquiring a replacement copy
of this Certificate is €20 (AR$215).
